Shri Jagdish Tytler has worked continuously for a period of 10 years, without any break, as a Minister in Government of India, holding important portfolios.
Shri Jagdish Tytler was elected four times as Member of Parliament; and he has held the following posts in the political setup of the Congress Party:

  • Minister of State for Overseas Indian Affairs (Independent Charge) and Member of Parliament (Delhi Sadar).
  • Co-Chairman, Committee for Environment and Science & Technology, All India Congress Committee.

Shri Jagdish Tytler was first inducted into the Cabinet of Prime Minister Shri Rajiv Gandhi as the Minister of Civil Aviation. He held the following portfolios :
